2. Copy the license on your CD to your PC. Use the instructions provided
here or for more details refer to the
mControl v2 User Manual.
If you have already used the mControl v1 CD to install,
or you have a trial version of mControl installed,
or you have an older version of mControl installed:
1. To upgrade, we recommend first uninstalling the previous version of mControl. Use the
mControl v2 User Manual to guide you through this process.
v Don't delete any directories, because the uninstall process will retain your license and database information.
That is, after you finish the upgrade, you'll have all the data from your previous install.
v mControl v1.00 through v1.70 use Microsoft's .NET Framework 1.1, but
all releases starting with mControl v2.0 use Microsoft's .NET Framework 2.0. (If you want to know
what Microsoft's .NET Framework is, we recommend
the Wikipedia entry for the .NET Framework.)
v Chances are you already have .NET Framework v2.0 installed but if you want
to find out for sure, check here. If you don't have
.NET Framework 2.0, you'll need to download it from
here.
