Default Addin won't run in Vista

I have mControl V2 installed on my XP server and it runs fine. However, I can't get the VMC addin to work on either of 2 HTPC PC's.

I get the message "Invalid Application" Unable to launch "mControl MCML". If I try running the mControl MTML UI icon, I get the error message "You must be connected to the Internet ...."

I tried installing .net 2 and Vista says it is already installed.

Danno100,

This is a good place to start when you are trying to get remote clients working: http://www.embeddedautomation.com/fo...read.php?t=571

Ted;

Thanks for the reply. I read the instructions previously, but it states it is for 2 vista PC's, but in my case mControl is already running on a XP server, and I have 2 other VMC's HTPC's that I want to act as slaves.

I think I'll wait for a fix in the next release instead of trying an unsupported method.

To update my thread, I finally installed V2.1 Beta2 on my new XP server and the now the Vista Add-in works! It was frustrating for a while because I couldn't get V2.0 to work no matter what I did. Thanks!
