A couple of months ago, developer pantarhei has released an update to the VMC Controller project to allow it to work on 64-bit Windows 7 machines. Presumably, this also works on Vista x64. I can confirm that it works on my W7 x64 box.
This version apparently has a few less features than the latest alpha release, presumably because of changes in the Windows 7 Media Center EPG (electronic program guide). You can find the results of his work here: http://vmccontroller.codeplex.com/Re...eleaseId=34386 |

I just tried and it would not install on a Vista x64.

I haven't tried that. Have you got a link for the developer's website? I Googled it and found a slew of sites, but none appeared to be the developer. Searching for Avalan wasn't helpful either.
At any rate, the reason I was looking for 64-bit support for the VMC Controller is because there is a driver available for mControl. |

I'm also looking for a 64 bit solution for the VMC controller so I can use the mControl driver and react to Media Center events with my home automation.
