Default Is there anyway to detect keyboard input before entering VMC?

I was wondering if anyone had found a way to detect keyboard input in Vista before entering VMC?

For example, I wanted a macro for dimming the lights in my media room when VMC was started from the Vista desktop.
So, I created the macro based on detecting the VMC green button being pressed and it does work but not until the
green button is pressed a second time once VMC has started up.

Thanks!

I'll take the lack of response to mean no.

If anyone else is interested in using their keyboard for device control or launching macros there's a work-around at:

Many thanks to Jaro the author!
