Hm, I sended in my support request two weeks ago, but didn't get any response til now.
I hope they will get to it soon since my home automation system is unusable at the moment.
I would realy hate it if I have to change products just to get this one sorted out.
MControl fits my environment best from a functionality perspective. And I am not aware of any other serious home automation software vendors who support z-wave (exept for homeseer which is pretty expensive if you ask me). And changing vendors would leave me with a unusable mControl license.
So can someone from EA or anyone else please help me in resolving this issue?

many thanks in advance..

Martijn.

As of now I am officially very disappointed in the way EA treads their customers.

I think I did a fair amount of research to get my zwave/mControl setup stable myself by buying three brands of zwave controllers and testing with them.
Al three (seluxit, tricklestar and aeonlabstick) have their own problems when they are connected up to mControl.
The only stable situation I could create was using the seluxit together with the release version of mControl (running it with the beta also resulted in a unstable system). At this point I need to be able to run the latest beta for device support so this setup is not working for me. And above that the seluxit died on me so that’s the second reason why I can’t continue this way.
None of the mentioned controllers show any problems what so ever when used with homeseer.
The only thing I ask from EA is to dig through my database and logfiles and try to resolve an error in a by EA supported setup (mControl and Aeonlabs stick). Ted stated several times in the forums that for example the Aeonlabs stick should work in the latest version.
But this seems not to be the case and if you read this forum tread completely you can see that I am not the only one having this issue.
I contacted EA tree times regarding this issue with 10 day intervals, and the last time the only thing I asked is if they could let me know if they are even going to look in to this issue. But again no response what so ever.
So Ted for the last time, can you please give me a sign of live by letting me know what you are going to do about this issue or stand up like a man and refund my license costs so I can take my bucks to Homeseer.
(and believe me, I really hope that is going to be the first option... what a great product but what a poor support)

Oh boy I really hate complaining on a forum like this but in this case I feel like I have no choice…
Regards,

Martijn

Hi

I installed mControl version 2.1.3818 RC5 BETA 4 on to my WHS V1 server.
I also purchased an EU Aeon Labs Z-Stick.

Below is what I am seeing in the Zwave Adapter Utility.

Does this mean I should have purchased a ControlThink EU Z-wave adapter instead? and the Aeon Labs one will not work?

Please advise.

thanks

Default intermittent results

OK I managed to add two Z-Wave lamp dimmer modules into the mControl system using the Z-wave adapter utility.

I now have these lamps listed in mControl in the WHS console and in MCE.
However the commands do not work everytime, some times they turn off other times nothing happens etc.

The below is from the log file on the WHS server:
