Default Client Configuration Tool

Hello, i am hoping someone could help me out with a problem i am having. I have mControl V3 (3.0.4471) running on a Windows Home Server 2011. I have a Windows 7 Ultimate machine that i am trying to setup the client on. When i run the Client Configuration Tool, it will not find the Server. I have disabled the firewall on both systems. I can view the site from the client. Is there a manual way to point the client at the server?

You can edit the ConnectionSettings.config file.

find/replace all the localhost entries with the mcontrol server address. I will say though that if the tool can't automatically find the server, it probably won't be able to reach it this way either. You've got a bigger issue. Perhaps you are mistaken that the firewalls are disabled (maybe your anti virus software is using it's own firewall)? Maybe the machines are part of different workgroups or domains?
