Poll Status of all devices

Hi,

Is there a way to have the system poll the status of all devices when the system is either rebooted, or the services restarted? I lose the status of all devices when this happens and makes monitoring the devices difficult.

It depends on the protocol used. X-10 is a one way protocol which doesn't allow any feedback/polling. X-10 extended allows some feedback. All other protocols has some kind of feedback (asynchronously or through polling). So, when available, polling is done for you automatically if you are using any other protocol than X-10 upon startup of mControl automation service. Of course, if the device is unreachable then its status is set to unknown.
