If you'd like to send a SMS message to your cell phone within a macro action, within North America, all you need to do is know the cell phone and your cell phone provider.
Here are the address you should use for the 6 largest providers in the U.S.:T-Mobile: phonenumber@tmomail.net
Virgin Mobile: phonenumber@vmobl.com
Cingular: phonenumber@cingularme.com
Sprint: phonenumber@messaging.sprintpcs.com
Verizon: phonenumber@vtext.com
Nextel: phonenumber@messaging.nextel.com
... where phonenumber = your 10 digit phone number
In Canada:
Telus: phonenumber@msg.telus.comThere's even a service that provides a universal method of accessing phones: https://www.teleflip.com/. Please feel free to reply to this post to add information for other providers not mentioned here.
Once you've got the message, and you've got a Windows Mobile phone, then just go to http://subdomain.domain.tld:port/mobile.aspx to view mControl. (Though it's currently not possible, we're looking into allowing adding a custom subject or body, to allow you to insert this or other information into the message.)
This is a very useful method of getting notified of key events in the home and checking up to see what's happening.
