I have an RS232 4 port serial in my pc, with connections to my parasound av controller and scaler.
Can I control these using mControl.
I cant seem to find an rs232 section in the manual
I am quite happy to write some sort of plugin if necessary just need some starting point and info.
Thanks
PS I have the protocols and managed to code them up for Girder, but wanted to test this product out as well.. Andrew

From what I understand they are supposed to be opening things up so you can write your own drivers. I thought it was supposed to be in 2.0.

CalypsoCowboy,
Other than documentation, the other big remaining item left in mControl v2.00, is the Driver Development Kit (DDK). We hope to have Beta 2 out this week, which will have completed documentation and the DDK. The DDK will also include some sample code.
As for general RS-232 communications, of course, you will be able to do this via the DDK, but we are also looking to provide a more generalized/higher-level solution - so that you can support serial comm. devices without having to delve into .NET code.

Now that is some good news. Thanks
I have played around with Girder a lot and net remote, but since I keep all my movies and music in WMC this would be a much better fit. If developing these things is as easy as the LUA scripting in Girder I should be ok
