View Full Version : Nest Thermostat and Zigbee Control
The Nest thermostat includes a zigbee radio... does that mean I could control it with mControl and a zigbee usb module? Has anyone attempted to integrate it into their systems? Thanks!

I've got 2 NEST thermostats and I'll definitely play around with it. My house is still being renovated and I'm just installing mControl on my Netbox so just in the beginning stages of playing around.
I only have the base module. Do I need any other modules to support zigbee?

I think all you need is a Zigbee USB adapter and the base module. Might need the energy management module but I doubt it!

Which adapter is suggested? The Telegesis ones? Zigbee USB adaptors don't seem to be very popular. Don't want to waste $50 on an adaptor that doesn't work.

Any update on this? I also want to buy a Nest, but want to make sure it will work with mControl first.
