I've read Ted's thread at http://www.embeddedautomation.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1561, but I'm not getting the log recs that are cited there.
Instead I'm getting nada in the log when I press the button on the motion detector. The 2414U controller's LED blinks convincingly, but nothing pops up in the log and, of course, nothing happens in mControl. The LED on the 2443 Access Point also blinks.
Here's a snip of the log - not the whole thing from startup (which exceeds the board's max message size), but the last few lines, which seem to indicate that mControl knows from the motion detector.
I Pressed white button 5x on motion detector, triggered red LED flash at least 5x by passing hand over detector, but no entries in log.
2414 LED flashed 13-15 times each time the white button was pressed. OTOH, no 2414 flash when red LED flashed in response to hand
passed over detector.
FWIW:
11.9C.22 is the problem device: an Insteon 2420M Wireless Motion Detector
11.52.97 is an Insteon 2456S3 ApplianceModule which appears tb working ok
in that it can be turned on/off via mControl Editor | Zones | (device
entry) | "On" and "Off" and it's current status ("Off" or "100%" is
reported correctly)
