My 1.6 Beta version locked up after 1 week of use. I've had it and I want to uninstall it. I tried to remove it and I got a fatal error. Restore doesn't work either since there's no restore point available prior to me installing mControl.
How do I delete your software from my computer?

I think I discovered the problem and I wanted to clear it up given I posted this in frustration.
It's true that nothing was working for me after a week of use (GUI commands, Status updates, and Macros). All these things had worked over the last week. Rather than just deleting the software, I first moved the PLC to another outlet and everything started working again.
The difference is that the first configuration included a powerstrip being plugged into the PLC pass-through. The powerstrip had my AV equipment hooked up to it. The second configuration, has nothing else plugged into the outlet that I have the PLC plugged into.
I know that I'm not supposed to hook the PLC to a powerstrip, but should I also avoid hooking a powerstrip to the PLC?

jbsumme,
If the powerstrip causes sufficient noise to hinder the INSTEON communication, then you shouldn't plug the PLC into the powerstrip and vice versa.
FYI> mControl v1.60 beta has an issue with Windows XP. Please find the instructions to remove it from your PC from the following URL:
http://www.embeddedautomation.com/forum/showthread.php?t=10
Instructions are located on the last post.
Also, we released v1.60 RC1 last week. Please download and use that one instead. You will first need to uninstall the BETA.
Lastly, we can extend your trial period as required. So if you run out of trial period, please let us know.
Best Regards,

I ran into the exact same problem. After removing the powerstrip/Surgeprotector all was fine.
