I would like to run mControl on a 64 bit Vista machine using the media center interface to display the status of a UPB network. Has anyone tried the automation server, the media inteface or the UPB driver in Vista 64 bit?

mControl won't run on a Vista 64 bit machine. You may have limited success running it in 32 bit compatability mode but I didn't.

Thanks - even if it is bad news! I thought I read somewhere that the media center interface was built from some sort of xml script so it should not matter whether it is 32 or 64 bit. How about running the server/UPB driver on an XP machine and only using the the Vista 64 machine for the media center interface?

mControl runs all components (service, clients) on x64 machines in x86 compatibility mode (32-bit) only. The Vista Media Center (VMC) client will not therefore as MVC requires 64-bit applications/assemblies.

OK - last question, honest! Any thought on a release date for x64 support?
