If you are using the mControl client for Internet Explorer (HTML) consider the following:
- Using the “Midnight” skin – which has been designed specifically for UMPC touchscreens and similar devices
- Using the magnification feature to best fit the mControl interface to your screen size
- Running Internet Explorer full screen – by pressing F11

If you are using Vista Media Center, you may consider including chevrons for navigation: http://blogs.msdn.com/astebner/archive/2006/08/29/730866.aspx

In the future, the mPanel user interface will be available for other platforms, WinCE and non-WinCE.

Just a tip to add to Ted's post, you can fource the F11 mode by opening in Kiosk mode. This is smilar to F11 mode by it "true" full screen mode. I've seen in used in Phone Booths in Asia. Just create a batch file and add to start up's or just make it into a link or change to an executable or .com file, etc..... Example of text in my file:

@echo off

"C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe" -k "https://server.homeserver.com/mcontrol/Default.aspx"

exit

This works great on mytouch screen as you don't have to fuss with the autohide toolbar and pressing F11 everytime. If you're running on a single monitor PC, it will take over your whole screen and you simply need to ALT-TAB out out it.

What in the world does that have to do with touchscreens? And if you enable authentication like that, I will lose my connection to my MCE2005 box. Nobody mysteriously turns my lights out either.
