OK - this is probably a dumb question, but I'm wondering if since mControl just uses the CM15A to pass commands onto the power line, does it have to be X10 only commands, or will it pass through Insteon commands too? The reason I ask is that while I'm slowly converting over to Insteon, most of my network is still X10. Plus I thought I read somewhere here that Ted(?) thought the CM15A was a better controller than the Insteon 2414U controller, so why spend the money.

CM15x can't send INSTEON commands. The signals over the power line are totally different in format, information they contain, etc. So you can't use it. But the other way is OK (send X-10 signals from the 2414x).
Ted said that the CM11x is better than any other X-10 controller in one particular aspect: sending/receiving extending X-10 signals. The PLC/PLM controllers are said to be supporting extended X-10 signals but we were never able to send/receive these signals from these controllers.
