Surrey, BC April 21, 2005
Embedded Automation announces the introduction of mNewsCenter for Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005.
mNewsCenter provides users the ability to read blogs, listen
and/or watch podcasts, or view any other news
source that supports the increasingly popular RSS protocol.
As a Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 application, mNewsCenter can also
be displayed on a TV and navigated easily with a media center remote control.
In addition, if you have a network set up at home, mNewsCenter can be launched
from any other location in the house. These features provide the ultimate level
of access to your favourite sites and sources of information when you want
and where you want. These factors make mNewsCenter a natural fit with the
mHome product line as it is another tool along with mControl and mTheater that
can be utilized to help make life simpler while also adding functionality.
"This is an exciting time to be involved with media centers as many useful products are being developed for them"
said Maury Lum, Product Line Manager for mHome. "With mNewsCenter I can now
quickly check my news sources while watching TV, listening to music, or simply
just relaxing on the couch."
mNewsCenter is the product of a partnership between Ian Dixon Software and Embedded Automation.
Ian had the initial concept for the product and is responsible for its development.
Embedded Automation has assumed the full commercial rights to mNewsCenter and will be
responsible for its support.
mNewsCenter will be launched in two phases. A trial version
will be launched initially, followed by the full version. To

mNewsCenter will be made available for download and purchase from
